Basement Scrapbook Retreat

This page was really fun! It started off as a sketch for a 4x6 with rounded blocks on either side of it, and grew from there. I have a fear of white space, so this was all I was able to leave. But the white on white title helps to make it seem a bit bigger :) This is totally a budget-friendly layout. ALL the paper was from my scrap files. The clouds, mushrooms, black bird, and green/red scallop were all from a sassafras insert out of a magazine. The title "exponential GROWTH" very much reflects my dorky side. You're probably wondering what that black fuzzy bug looking thing is near the bottom...i'll probably take it off. it's part of a heidi swapp damask rub on, but didn't really fit the page. i had to chalk it a bit so it was more the colour of the bird, but even that didn't help. you're right. it's gone. i'll go do that right now...

GENIUS!!!

Thank you Mason for telling me I should take a picture of you laying down with Turbo and Tundra!!! These pictures are so beautiful with the sun shining in on you! I love how in the first photo his arm is unintentionally mimicking the vertical lines of the dogs' ears hanging down :)

I didn't have to coax at all to get this genuine smile, you were so happy laying with your dogs :)

Four Generations of Girls

The only group of all females on my mom's side for a 4 generation photo. Nanny (1921), Mom (1948), Me (1973), and Ella (2005)

We went to visit Nanny the weekend after her February birthday. Hard to believe she is 88! Extra hard to believe...if Poppa was still alive he would have been 103!!! They were born 15 years apart to the day :)

Nanny is doing AWESOME for 88! Her hearing is fantastic, she gets around without the use of a walker in her seniors complex, her sight is going on her, but I still think she's is so lucky to have everything else working so well! We always appreciate our time with her.
Nanny was so happy to have the lilac purple plates, cups, and cutlery. Her FAVE colour :)

And nothing beats lots of hugs and kisses from family!

My Nanny. LOOOOOOOVVVVEEE her so much! :)

SNOW DAY!!!!

No school today!!! Too much snow and freezing rain :) Makes for a gorgeous day if you're staying off the roads!

Here's Ella posing for the camera. Gotta have a bit of a smirk these days.
Classic snow angel picture with Nash
Nash stuck it out this time helping Mom finish the snowman. The eyes are juice bottle lids, the nose is celery, and the teeth are shreddies. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, our snowman is really blue. Thanks to a spray bottle with water and food colouring!

Did some painting today! AND pulled out the pastels! oooooooohhhhhh

That's better

Fixed the layout...needed more than just stickers for her name, so painted a pink cloud and did her name in glitter. Still a little excess glitter hanging around I'll have to wipe off. Plus added some cutouts from the pp. Like the flower by the title.

Satisfaction

It feels so good to be scrappin' again!

I had a lot of fun scrappin at KN's last night, good times :)

Ella had picked out this glittery pink paper at the store, herself, so I was thrilled to finally use it for a suitable page for her.

Thanks Kerri for letting me play with your cricut for the "princess" letters, and I hope you were able to suck up all the glitter that fell off my pink paper!

I think I still might modify the page a bit by punching out some of the circles or flowers from the patterned paper to place elsewhere on the page...?

And this is Mason's scrapbook page from yesterday. His Dad got a good laugh over it and was quite flattered!

Almost Baseball Season!

OK, not quite. wishful thinking. But Mason has started asking about it and is looking forward to his senior year of Rookie ball. One more year with the pitching machine before he takes his chances facing real pitches!

Page for Dad

I am in love with cloud paper! I just had to use it. And this photo kept falling out like it wanted to be scrapped, so I listened.

I love how it looks when I cut along the wave of the patterned paper and tucked the photo inside

Back to the Scrappin' Room...

Yay! I'm scrappin' again!!!

Thank you to all you loyal fans for waiting for me, I know you're out there...even if you don't leave me comments :)

I made this layout with supplies from a kit I got from Just Cre8

I love Mason's entrepreneurial spirit.

Coming of Age

Poor Turbo, it's almost like he knew what was coming.....
Turbo got his manhood stripped from him. Plus he got neutered last week.
And now Tundra is in heat! The vet advises that she go through it once before being spayed. Unfortunately, just because Turbo was neutered, doesn't mean he's lost his desire to hump. But Tundra's handling him, as any good woman would. A good growl now and then to put him in his place.
